Dr. Seuss Fun!

We took the kids to go see "The Cat in the Hat" which was being performed at The Orlando Repatory Theater. There was even a Dr. Seuss birthday party being thrown there. I thought that was a cute idea. The show was only 40 minutes, which was the perfect length for Nathan. My mom went with us and I think she enjoyed it just as much as the boys. The show was very funny with great props and actors. After the show, the cast signed our programs and let us get pictures of them. (I am so bummed that I accidentally deleted the cute picture of the boys with The Cat in the Hat. boo!)It was a fun way to spend an afternoon!

He played The Fish using a puppet in a bowl.
They played the "Things".

Happy Valentine's Day

The boys were excited to wake up to new Monster Trucks for Valentine's Day. They were also excited about passing candy out at school and GETTING candy from their friends. Poor Thomas still wasn't feeling 100% after several days of a high fever, but he didn't want to miss this fun day at school. These were the only good photo I was able to get early in the morning.

A Busy Day for Nathan

I picked Nathan up early from school to go to a few appointments and I was excited that I had a chance to eat lunch with him! I love seeing him with his friends and how he interacts with his teachers. He genuinely loves them which makes me so happy. After lunchtime, we headed to Target and then to his dentist appointment. He got a cleaning and had his broken tooth looked at. Dr. King wasn't concerned. Although, we noticed a tooth that needs a filling. I was expecting it and thankful it didn't need a crown. He'll still need to be sedated for it though. After seeing the dentist we went for an eye appointment. We are thankful that he doesn't need glasses. It was such a busy day. It took only minutes for him to fall asleep tonight.

Poor Nathan

There's nothing like seeing my red light glowing on my phone at work. I dread it actually. It's either an unhappy parent or Nathan's school. This time it was Nathan's school . He was trying to help a friend up a ladder on the playground and lost his footing. His mouth bumped the bar and he chipped a tooth. He said that it hurt but I think it just startled him. He was able to have lunch and suck his thumb during rest time. So we have a dentist appointment on Monday just to have it checked out. Poor little guy. We are so thankful it wasn't worse.

Playing Hookie

After my dentist appointment today I decided to pick Thomas up early from school and go strawberry picking. He was so excited and very surprised that he was going home early. We got to Pappy's Patch and there was hardy anyone there. We couldn't believe how many strawberries were ripe and ready for picking. I kept Thomas telling to stop picking so many but his response was, "but mom there are just so many!"Well, 12 pounds later we left. They are all cut and ready for strawberry shortcakes and smoothies. What a great way to spend some quality time together.

Happy Birthday,Ken!

We were excited to help Daddy celebrate his 37th birthday! The boys helped make him a "sweets" cake using Mountain Dew and candy bars. We ate a yummy dinner of his choice and then enjoyed carrot cake with magic candles! The best part was hearing the boys sing to him randomly throughout the night! It was so cute!

Monster Truck Fun

Ken and I took the boys to the Monster Truck show at the Citrus Bowl. A mom from my school asked us back in November if we'd like to order tickets and she was able to get us great seats! We got "pit passes"and got to see the trucks up close and meet the drivers. We even saw a girl get shot out of a cannon. We went back to our vans and tailgated and the kids had fun playing football together. We were in the lower bowl in about the tenth row! The boys loved it and Nathan is talking about it! In fact, we have to keep showing him monster truck you tube clips! It was a fun night for us and we're already looking forward to next year!
