Pappy's Patch

After getting a late start, I took the boys to Pappy's Patch to pick some strawberries. It was super crowded. We didn't pick as many as I hoped but at least we got lots! Thomas was obsessed with finding ladybugs and Nathan loved looking at the rotten strawberries. We can't wait to go back and get more !

Fun at the zoo!

As a special way to end our winter break the boys and I headed to the zoo. It was a nice cool morning do the animals were very active in their cages. We got to see the new otter exhibit which Nathan loved!! He wanted to hug him and take him home. We ended the trip with a nice picnic lunch watching the kids on the zip lines. Hopefully the next time we go it will be warm enough to splash.

Happy Half Birthday, Thomas!

Today Thomas is seven and a half!! We celebrated by going bowling. Both boys got strikes and spares. They could have stayed all day if I let them. Nana and papa sent Thomas a special birthday card. The card was full of birthday stickers cut in half and inside was $7.50! It was perfect ( and clever!) It's crazy to think that Thomas is closer to bring 8 years old!

 

Lego Store!!

The boys love visiting Downtown Disney just so they can go to the Lego store. The Lego store has lots of sets that are not carried in other stores. Whenever we go we have to stock up! The boys love building new mini figures. They each got to make 6! Thomas also found a new Ninjago set and Nathan found a Spider-Man set and a fun Duplo set with buidling cards. They also released new mystery series of mini-figures.  Like I said... We stock up! It was a fun way to spend the day!

Nightly Reading

The best part of the night is reading bedtime stories. Nathan got lots of great books for Christmas and wanted to read them all at once! Ken is the bedtime reader with Nathan and this time Nathan grabbed his new blankie and covered Ken up and then got himself all comfy. It was just too cute to see!

Santa Came!!!

The boys were very good this year since they got nearly everything on their lists. Thomas was super excited to get a Nintendo 3DS and games while Nathan was excited to have his own DS and games. Grandma Seiko and Aunt Michalle came over and celebrated with us, too. This year we stayed home in our jammies all day long and the boys truly enjoyed playing with their toys and playing outside with Aunt Michalle. It was a long day, but very relaxing. Merry Christmas!

Here's the "before" picture.
Thomas was up at 4:30am wanting to start opening gifts. And yes....he was sent back to bed, only to get back up at 7:30am. We're still not sure if he ever went back to sleep.
