The boys did great getting up early on the first day back to school. They had plenty of time to even have a hot breakfast. Nathan was convinced that we were going to Chuck E Cheese and was rather disappointed when we pulled up to the school. He went into Room 7 like a big kid to meet his teacher, Ms.Mary. I was thankful that there were no tears on day one. They both had a great first day and Thomas was surprised that he had homework on the first day. The year is off to a great start for our boys!

One Last Day of Fun!
The kids got to pick what they wanted to do for their last day of summer before heading back to school. They decided on Chuck E. Cheese. oh joy. They each got their tokens and had a blast. They had to split their tickets and even decided to share their prizes. I was impressed at the newer games there, especially for Nathan's age. Afterwards we went to Chick Fil A and finished up some "wish list" shopping for Thomas' teacher. These days of summer are something I truly enjoy and cherish! I am very lucky to spend time with them over the summer.

Muscles!
Meet the Teacher
Thomas got to meet his teacher on Friday. Her name is Mrs. Fox. Thomas is already very familiar with her since he is friends with her son. He knows several kids in his class! Thomas is not in the main building this year. He is in the concreteables and they just got new flooring. (Which I hope will help with his allergies.) At the end of the day I got to go down to his classroom and see where he sits. I am so excited about the curriculum and all that he will be learning this year. It's hard to believe he's already in 2nd grade!

Practicing for School
On Friday, I took Nathan up to his school so he could drop his things off in his cubby in preparation for school. He wasn't very excited about going. He kept telling me he wanted to go home. He warmed up to the director and the cafeteria lady, but didn't really want to play with the kids. He got to watch them do circle time after their snack but was anxious to go home. He is in a new class this year. His teacher was home sick, so we didn't get to see her. I know that Nathan is going to love being there once he's back in the swing of things!

Holli's Hello Kitty Party
Nathan's friend Holli turned three and celebrated at Fort Melon Park in Sanford. It was a fun filled day with all things Hello Kitty! Her mommy did an amazing job decorating everything. We especially loved the fun ways she displayed the food. The boys ate several fruit/donut kabobs. This was our first time to this park so we are excited to try it out again! Happy 3rd Birthday to Holli!

Someone Wants to Be Like Their Brother...
After seeing a patch of dry, red bumps on Nathan's face for about two weeks I decided to call Thomas' allergist and make Nathan an appointment. The doctor did a skin test with both food items and environmental elements. After waiting, we found out that Nathan is slightly allergic to milk and mold. He wasn't too concerned about the milk part since he doesn't have reactions after consuming it. We are going to monitor the mold allergy though. So, he gave us some cream for his face and we'll see if that helps.
