First Annual Evans Field Day

This was our school's First Annual Field Day! We were so excited about it, too! It was very organized and there were 15 stations for the kids to visit. They all had fun, got dirty, and were super tired the rest of the day! Thomas' class was only two stations behind my class, so with the zoom of my camera I was able to get some pictures of him having tons of dirty fun.

Oviedo Fire Department Visits school

I have to admit that a great perk to bringing Thomas to school with me is that I am able to see all the events that most parents aren't involved in. The Oviedo Fire Department came to school and taught the children about fire safety. They let them spray water from their hose, showed them all the tools on their truck and then let them walk through the truck.
The kids touched their suit so they aren't afraid if they ever see a fireman during a fire.

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny visited our house to being special treats for our sweet boys. (Even though Thomas tried to "prank" the Easter Bunny.) He left the bunny an empty egg in hopes that the bunny was expecting an egg full of jellybeans. When Thomas opened the egg on Easter morning, he was the one pranked! The bunny had filled it with black jelly beans! muh-ha-ha! We had a busy morning with getting ready for church. Our church is now in it's new location rather than the local middle school cafeteria. Even though we got to church 30 minutes early, we had to sit outside. With my wiggly kids, it was probably better that way. After church, we went to my mom and dad's to have Easter lunch. The kids had fun having an egg hunt in their backyard. I think we enjoyed watching it even more!

Yo Gabba Gabba!

On Saturday our good friend Cameron turned two! Nathan had a blast jumping on his indoor trampoline! We loved the Yo Gabba Gabba cake that he had, too!

Good Friday

We didn't have school on Good Friday so our SCPS Mommy Group met up at Trotwood Park in Winter Springs. The kids had an Easter egg hunt, decorated cute cookies, played on the playground and then splashed at the splash pad. Nathan had a hard time sharing all the fun toys like bubbles and sidewalk chalk. It was a beautiful day to be outside on such an important day. Nathan was sound asleep within five minutes of our car ride home!

Yep, he still squints when I whip out the camera!

Now in Concert

My sister is a professor at Daytona Beach State College and had a very special solo concert. Her name was on the marque sign and even on the tickets! She played beautifully and had a piano and french horn accompanists. Since, the cat is out of the bag, I should say that this is the last performance I will see in a while since she and her husband were accepted to the University of Illinois to pursue their education. She will be earning her doctorate and Brian will be earning his masters degree. They are brave in taking this new journey and we couldn't be more excited for them.
