Team Celebration

We were supposed to have the last game at 11am but due to rain it was cancelled. The team still wanted to celebrate a great season so we met for lunch at Ale House. The boys got their own table and all the parents got their own. They had fun playing the video games and kept coming back for more money. It was a nice way to spend the afternoon. The team parents were so nice this season and we hope that the boys will be on the same team next season.

Pumpkin Math Day

I was thankful that I was able to get coverage of my class for one hour so that I could join Thomas' class for their Pumpkin Math Day. They got to taste test all kinds of pumpkin items and then measured, weighed, and counted pumpkin seeds. It lasted all afternoon! It was fun to see Thomas with his friends. He all of a sudden looked much older to me.

Trick-or-Treat

I love our Halloween traditions! Every year we get the boys dressed up and go see Mr. Bill and Mary. They get so excited to see them. Then we headed over to Emily's house. They are in a new neighborhood so it was fun going to new houses. We even found a skeleton! It was a fun night filled with yummy treats and our favorite people.

Sweet MQ as a bumblebee and Eli as a muscle man.

Pumpkin Patch

We had to stop at the pumpkin patch since Thomas' class was in need of 2 large pumpkins for their Pumpkin Math Day. Nathan was excited to go to the same patch that his class visited on their field trip. He loved showing us around! We were glad that there was enough to choose from even though it was so close to Halloween!

Nana's Birthday

Nana and Papa came to the boys' baseball games since I had a Breast Cancer 5K in the morning. We got to celebrate mom's birthday while at the games. Thomas picked out a pink cross for her and Nathan gave her a Grave Digger truck from his collection. We all thought that was the sweetest thing ever! We were so thankful that they could come help with the boys and see them play!

Boating Fun

It's nice that the boys enjoy being on the water as much as we do. They are excited about loading up in the truck early in the morning. Wish they were that eager to get up on school mornings! Nathan wanted me to sit with him in the back. Thomas was pleased since he got shotgun. Nathan caught his first fish of the season yet he was just as pleased to catch seaweed. On the way back to the ramp, we let Nathan drive the boat. He had so much fun doing donuts. I'll try to remember this when he turns 16!

Senior Night

It's hard to believe that Christian will be graduating this year. We were excited to attend "Senior Night" at Lake Brantley High School. He walked across the field with Mike and April and then we got to enjoy the game and watch him with the cheerleaders.

Divide and Conquer

Well, it happened. We had two games scheduled at the same time on different fields and of course it's when Ken is working overtime. I am so glad that my mom and dad were able to come help save the day. I am the "Team Mom" for both boys so I have to set up the dugouts but I have to stay in Nathan's dugout to help. My parents helped me feel like I was in two places at once. The boys loved having them there. It was the highlight of their day.

Robot Tooth

Nathan's molars don't have enamel and he needed a nice new silver crown. Dr. King is our wonderful pediatric dentist. I can't imagine going to anyone else for these types of treatments. He is so kind and sings the silliest songs while doing the work. Nathan needed mild sedation. He did NOT want to drink the sleepy medicine. We tried everything! He didn't want to leave the gas mask on either, so I got to hold him down during the procedure. Not fun for me at all! Other than that, he did great. He laid on the couch for a few hours before we had to pick Thomas up from school. He's such a tough little guy and very proud of his new "robot tooth".

Happy Birthday to Mommy!

To celebrate my birthday, the boys got new t-shirts. They got me a Duck Dynasty Bobblehead. They love it is much as I do. We like to ask it "questions" and watch it bobble its head "yes" to everything! Even though we had to go to school it was a fun day. After school, Thomas played a great game of baseball at night. Uncle Mike and Aunt April came to the game, too. It was perfect! I'm so lucky!

Happy 51st Anniversary!

My Mom and Dad celebrated their 51st Anniversary. WOW! We were so happy that we were able to see them on their special day. They certainly have lived that vow "for better or worse....in sickness and health." The boys had fun playing in their yard and Nathan got in a quick game of "Go Fish". He loves that game even though he's a big cheater! ha!

Friday Night Under the Lights

After a nice sun shower we saw double rainbows over the baseball fields. The boys love that, especially Thomas. We played Nathan's "girlfriend's" team. He loved talking with her on the field and waving to her when she was batting. It was so cute! This was a make up game due to rainy weather in the beginning of the week. The game started at 6:30pm and we didn't get done until 8:30pm. Boy, did that make for a long day! As long as the boys keep having fun, we'll keep up with the crazy schedules!

Team Knockout

Our family attended Team Knockout's fundraiser for Breast Cancer. It was a morning of pancakes, entertainment, raffles and pink streaks in hair! We were so glad to see so many familiar faces for this great cause.

Nathan was so happy to see his girlfriend, Addison, there!

MQ turns 3!

Sweet McKinley turned three! We loved her striped birthday party. Her mom did a wonderful job decorating and making such cute details for her special day. We were super glad that Nana and Papa were able to come. It made the day even more special for us!

First Field Trip

Nathan was up and dressed before 6:30am since he was so excited about his very first field trip. The VPK went to PetSmart. I was hoping he would bring home a dog but no such luck! He loved telling me all about the animals he got to see. The snakes were his favorite! yuck!
